Ultimately, it is not about attaining perfection on behalf of another but pointing them to the perfection of the Father. The goal is to form strong and lasting relationships where there is a source of support, growth, motivation, discipleship, personal development and Biblical knowledge and transformation. Come together weekly for support - with collaboratation, receive prayer, and healing physically and/or emotionally. Moses served as a mentor to Joshua, Jesus equiped 12 disciples. Because of the mentoring, became a great warrior for Israel. Mentoring is a mutually encouraging relationship distinguished by the power of example (1 Cor. 4:16; 11:1), the wisdom of humility (Jam. 3:13; 1 Pet. 5:5-7), and an attitude of enthusiasm (Rom. 12:1; 3 John 4). |
