Mercy, Grace, and Love - this is not to condemn but to help those struggling to review and see why they are not getting healed. These are not always limited to healing; they include blessings or deliverance from demonic spirits. If you've faced hindrances to divine healing and haven't experienced Jesus' healing power despite attending healing lines, it might be time to consider the spiritual roots behind these barriers. It's essential to acknowledge that there are reasons for hindrances to divine healing and spiritual blocks that can hinder your path to recovery. Satan is a legalist and will block healing, blessings, and deliverance. All is forgiven through repentance. See prayer below. So, if you been sick and done everything and still not received healing, it is time to look at areas that may block healing.
Understanding that there may be underlying spiritual causes to your illnesses can lead you to repentance, where cleansing your sins can pave the way for spiritual healing through Jesus. Repentance cleanses us of our sins and removes the blocks preventing healing. Interestingly, repentance has the power even to alter our DNA code. Taking the time to reflect, identify, and repent of sins acting as barriers can clear the way for divine healing.
Remember, by doing your part through repentance, Jesus will do His part in bringing healing into your life. It's essential to recognize that conditions are attached to the Lord's healing, and approximately 80% of diseases could have spiritual roots that obstruct divine healing. By addressing and removing these 40 potential blocks to divine healing, you can open yourself up to the transformative power of Jesus, the divine healer.
The Lord's word says in Psalms 103:5 that he came to heal ALL diseases. Let's review the list below, reviewing 40 reasons to determine "Why Does God Heal Some and Not Others" that may be blocking healing? The information below is from BeInHealth.com ministries. It is looking at God's Word about a curse causeless cannot come (Prov. 26:2).
Unforgiveness (bitterness, resentment, retaliation….). This is the #1 reason so many people are not healed. Read this scripture, and you will understand. Matthew 6:15 “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” There is a separation when you refuse to forgive your enemies. Luke 6:27-29 “27” But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 “Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.…” When we forgive, Jesus heals; only Divine Healing is through Jesus Christ. Mercy, Grace, and Love. Sometimes, we want to forgive, but we are very hurt and working through the hurt. The Lord looks at a person's heart and gives mercy, grace and love over your situation.
Not Discerning the Lord’s Body – (#1 bitterness toward a brother – not forgiving, judgment of others – a form of bitterness). 1 Corinthians 11:27-32 says” Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.” For this cause, many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, so that the Lord would not judge. But when we are judged, the Lord chastens us, not to be condemned with the world.” We are to check ourselves to see if we have any unforgiveness towards any brother. Make peace first before taking communion. Otherwise, Satan has a right to put a disease on your body.
3. – Little Faith - not standing on the promises of God's Word is true. Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. Hebrews 4:1-2
Doubt & Unbelief. Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” How can we stand in healing prayers if we have doubt and unbelief? Doubt and unbelief are spirits, Antichrist spirits, not from God.
And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief. Mark 6:5-6
Not Discerning our Thoughts. It is crucial to discern our thoughts, distinguishing between the good and the evil influences that seek to sway our minds. Not every thought we have originates from our true selves, but external factors can influence us. As complex beings of body, soul, and spirit, our interconnectedness is significant through the mind/body connection. By falling prey to believing lies and cursing ourselves, we inadvertently burden ourselves with negativity. Negative self-perceptions can harm our mental and physical well-being, as our bodies may stop producing essential neurotransmitters like serotonin. Autoimmune diseases often stem from a lack of self-love and acceptance. Being aware that the Devil continuously tries to disrupt our thoughts with fiery darts reinforces the importance of guarding our minds against damaging influences. Hebrews 5:13-14 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who because of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Fiery darts" is a biblical metaphor, specifically from Ephesians 6:16, referring to the "flaming arrows of the evil one" that faith can extinguish, representing spiritual attacks or temptations. Renewing the mind," often referenced in Romans 12:2, is a spiritual concept emphasizing transformation through aligning one's thoughts and beliefs with God's truth, leading to a life that reflects His will
There is no expectation in Healing (does not believe). Some churches believe that healing was during the time of Jesus and the Disciples, but not for today. That is the furthest from the truth. Goes back to lack of faith, or doubt and unbelief.
Flagrant Sin (Habitual Sin - Disobedience) Galatians 5:19-21 – will not enter the Kingdom of God. Not repenting from sin or habitual sin - work of the flesh. What is flagrant sin is habitual sin. Accordingly, those who know the truth choose not to repent and stay in sin for their benefit. Being a minister, I've had many clients who are living with men and think it is ok to have sex before marriage. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Romans 6:1-2
No Intimacy or no relationship with the Father. Do you spend time with the Lord? And he said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, "This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." Mark 7:6-7
Since you committed or your family sins – generational sins and curses come forward when you open the door, when there is a bend in your life. Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2
Prayer and Fasting (not taking the time to pray or fast). He said to them, "Because of your unbelief. For most assuredly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. But this kind doesn't go out except by prayer and fasting." Matthew 17:20-21 WEB
Religious and Limit God (doubt and unbelief in another way) Mark 6:5-6: - Jesus is described as unable to perform many miracles in his hometown due to the people's lack of faith. This highlights that unbelief can be a barrier to God's healing power.
Fear and Unscripture Doctrine – also doubt and unbelief. A spirit of fear, worry, anxiety, and stress. Not trusting God and casting your cares to the Lord according to 1 Peter 5:7. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
Complaining, Murmuring & Grumbling (Israel not allowed into the promised land because of murmuring and complaining). You want to lose blessings, start murmuring and complaining. We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were destroyed by serpents, 10 nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer. Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come. 1 Corinthians 10:9-11
Touching God's Anointed Leaders - gossiping and trying to destroy their reputation instead of praying for them. He allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, saying, "Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!" 1 Chronicles 16:21-22
Improper care of the body (drivenness, not rest when tired, self-hatred). Trying to live up to an actual person's expectation - parents, jobs, friends, church, etc. Cannot say no to others because of fear of rejection. A poor diet can impact the body’s ability to heal. Ensuring a balanced intake of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals is essential for overall health. Sleep is vital for the body to heal, and habits such as smoking or excessive alcohol consumption can also affect healing. Stress, anxiety, and unresolved emotional trauma can impede healing. So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor such men, for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me. Philippians 2:29-30
Broken Heart – being hurt by others, betrayal by others, and having emotional pain and unforgiveness. Luke 4:18 Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted. He came to take your pain.
Hardened Heart (no repentance, forgiveness, love for others) – enjoys treating people with evil). Including Jezebel/Narcissistic personality.
Negative Influences from others. As they say, you become who you hang around with. Proverbs 13:20 states, "Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm," emphasizing the importance of choosing your friends wisely, as their influence can significantly impact your life. 1 Corinthians 15:33 ESV / 679 helpful votes Helpful Not Helpful
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” Psalm 1:1 ESV / 307 helpful votes Helpful Not Helpful
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
Greed – it is you trying to get rich on other people’s money. It is all about you. Luke 12:15: "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." Proverbs 28:25: "The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper."
Not Being Honest or Transparent with oneself or others. Trying to be someone you are not and making people believe you are someone else when you are not. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16-17
The Need To See A Miracle (chasing miracles and manifestations instead of God). Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:28-29
Chasing after Signs and Wonders and not seeking God. So Jesus said to him, "Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe." John 4:48-49
Expecting God to heal on their conditions and not on God's terms. But Naaman was angry and went away, saying, "Behold, I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call upon the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place and cure the leper." 2 Kings 5:11
Looking to Man Rather Than God. Fear of man. Saul had this problem. Thus says the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. Jeremiah 17:5
Sometimes Sickness Unto Death If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life - to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death. 1 John 5:16-17
Looking at the Symptoms and Not the Healer. You are not looking to God for healing, but are stuck looking at your pain and situation. "Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." Isaiah 45:2
Not Keeping Your Life Filled with the Spirit and Word of God. Living on the fence of two worlds. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, "See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you." John 5:14-15
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus.
Not Resisting Temptation and falling into sin. If we resist, he will flee. James 4:7: "Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Matthew 26:41: "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Giving Up – you get worn out and give up instead of keeping your trust in God. Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die." Job 2:9-10
Looking for Repeated Healing but living the way of the world. Do we ever go to the Lord to seek Him before going to the doctor that wants to put you on medication that can be worse? Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. 3 John 2
Rejecting Healing as Part of the Covenant for Today and Trying to Bypass the Penalty of the Curse through other modalities instead of God. Many clients come to me blaming the Devil or others instead of taking responsibility. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24
Involvement with Occultism, New Age Medicine, instead of trusting God. One way the enemy can snare you. This goes back to sin. We perish from lack of knowledge. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Wrong Motives - all about self. The Bible emphasizes the importance of having right motives when acting, praying, or serving, warning against selfish or ulterior motives, as seen in verses like James 4:3 and Matthew 6:1-4.
Not Honoring Parents (the word says not long life). Exodus 20:12 says, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you." This does not mean honoring evil parents who bring harm.
Envy and Jealousy towards others, discontentment, competitiveness, division, gossip, and wanting what others have. Galatians 5:20-21. Exodus 20:17:
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."
"A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot."
Lists envy as one of the works of the flesh, along with other vices, and warns that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Accusation against God, self, or others. Do you accuse others or yourself? Satan's accusations are described as deceitful and rooted in lies, aiming to make believers doubt God's grace and forgiveness. 1. When others accuse you, the Bible encourages you to forgive them and seek reconciliation while reminding you that only God can ultimately judge and forgive. It is not them but the sin in them. 2. The Bible warns against self-condemnation, encouraging believers to trust in God's love and forgiveness rather than dwelling on their mistakes. WE can put curses on ourselves.
Sloppy grace and believes that once saved, one is always saved, and there is no need for repentance again when committing to sin. Scripture emphasizes that repentance, both initially for conversion and ongoing for forgiveness, is crucial for a life pleasing to God. While salvation is a gift through faith in Christ. The Bible speaks of the "fruits of the Spirit," which include love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These are characteristics of a life transformed by the Holy Spirit, and repentance plays a crucial role in cultivating these fruits.
Robbing God in tithes and offerings:
You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:9
Our allotted time in life is fulfilled. Jesus told Moses life 70. This means that most people live to be 70 years old, and some, through strength and health, might live to be 80.
The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away. Psalms 90:10
