In Deut. 13:17 and Joshua 6:18 - it says to close the door to the demonic intrusion through spiritual house cleaning.

The Hebrew word accursed used in these passages is Cherem (Strongs 2763/64), meaning:

Impure materials - Get rid of any impure books, novels, magazines, videos, computer materials, and television. If someone cannot resist the temptation to watch inappropriate content, they should eliminate the TV. What society deems as dirty does not align with God's standards. Numerous TV programs, talk shows, and magazines promote immoral behaviors and go against Christian principles. Therefore, Christians should not support or consume such material. It is crucial to eliminate all these impure materials while cleansing the house.
Idols—Destroy all items connected to idolatry, such as images, jewelry, jade objects, clothing, display pieces, art, masks, talismans, charms, books, literature, or objects instilling fear or reverence for anything other than the true God.
All games related to occult practices and demonic forces, such as "Dungeons and Dragons" and "Ouija Boards," must be eradicated. This includes TV and computer games that align with these themes. Furthermore, ensure that all corresponding materials are permanently removed from the computer's deleted files.

Street Drugs - Our bodies are the home of the Holy Spirit, so we must never harm our bodies but keep them pure and undefiled. Therefore, the use of any (illicit or illegal) drugs is forbidden to Christians. All tobacco products, marijuana, and all illegal drugs must be burned and their use discontinued. We believe that if a Christian is living a Christ-like life, such drugs are not needed, and they need deliverance if they are in bondage to these.
Mental Health Drugs - a person needs deliverance to be set free from the need for "band-aid" prescription drugs such as Valium, Xanax, Zoloft, and others. Each person must decide for themselves, but they must remember that they are the temple of the Holy Spirit, must not do anything to harm their body, and must destroy all that is harmful.
False Teachings - It's important to be mindful of the materials we bring into our homes, ensuring they align with Biblical Christian beliefs. While seeking the truth is essential, promoting a respectful dialogue can foster understanding. A mature Christian may engage with conflicting perspectives to effectively reach out to others. However, for most Christians, focusing on literature that strengthens their faith and promotes love and compassion seems the way to go. Embracing diverse viewpoints with an open heart can enrich our spiritual journey while staying true to our core beliefs.
When visiting Mexico, my parents gave me two decorative masks. One was made of straw, and I felt very uncomfortable. I didn't want to hurt my mom's feelings. I brought it home. As soon as I got home, I put it in my BBQ grill, and the grill exploded into the air. The straw mask didn't burn up. I put carnosine oil on it; it would not burn and have a strange color in the flames. I had to take scissors to cut it up into pieces.
