Dangers of Tarot Cards – the Occult
Many people go to tarot card readers to learn about their future. We are to trust God and not go to another source of power. The tarot cards are not dangerous but the tarot card readers are the ones who have spirit guides and demonic spirits that help them.
Definition (Divination): Using cards to read the future for a person. It is consulting with spirits.

Not one person was known.
What was his/her spirituality?
What culture did it come out of?
Some people believe it came from China or ancient Egypt. A few decades ago, they became popular among occultists and New Agers. Introduced to Western Europe in the 14th or 15th century by the gypsies.
How does it claim to work?
Tarot cards are known traditionally as a deck of 78 cards with various pictures on them. Experienced psychic tarot card readers claim that they are the only ones who can deliver a truthful reading and caution against just reading interpretations out of the book that comes with the cards. The reader “sees” the energies in the cards and then translates all of that into words and a story that can be easily understood.
What were their beliefs?
New Agers use certain practices or methods to “get in touch with their inner spirits,” and tarot cards can be a perfect way for them to channel their thoughts and connect with the “Oneness of the Universe.”
Who is their god or gods?
Mother earth or oneness with the universe.
What is the occult potential?
Some people will feel a spirit trying to take possession with them. Sometimes force a person into a trance.
