What is Palm Reading?

Description: Palm readers believe they can interpret one’s character, fortunes, and possible future events by “reading” the lines, marks, and bumps on the palm of a person’s hand. Palm reading is known as chiromancy.

Palm reading, also known as “palmistry” or “chiromancy,” has its roots in Greek mythology. Chiromancy, from the Greek kheiro, meaning “hand,” and mantia, meaning “divination,” essentially means “divination from the palm of the hand.”

Who was the founder of this modality or what culture did it come out of?

Possibly from ancient Greece and Aristotle. It was also used in Egypt, Babylon, India, Tibet, China, Sumer, Persia and other places. No known true founder.

What was his/her spirituality or beliefs and/or god or gods?

Their spirituality is not in the true Jesus Christ. Their spirituality may be more in the universe.

How does it claim to work the occult modality?

A palm reader practitioners believe they can interpret one’s character, fortunes, and possible future events by “reading” the lines, marks, and bumps on the palm of a person’s hand.

What is the occult potential?

Divination. It can cause harm to someone’s physical, psychologic, and spiritual damage. You open yourself to demonic spirits by going to a palm reader or being a palm reader. They can give you false things about your future and even give you false diagnosis. A person doing palm reading is somewhat a mediumistic in seeing future. For a person to do this, there is another entity involved such a demons.

Divination was also condemned by the prophets (Isaiah 44:25;Jeremiah 27:9; 29:8; Ezekiel 13:9).
